I love my iPad for all the amazing things I’ve learnt on it using the internet which is why I’ve decked it out with only the best iPad accessories.
Today I learnt about the main themes current in John Steinbeck’s novel Of Mice and Men. Steinbeck explained the basic theme in a journal entry dating to 1938. “In every bit of honest writing in the world there is a base theme. Try to understand men, if you understand each other you will be kind to each other. Knowing a man well never leads to hate and nearly always leads to love. There are shorter means, many of them. There is writing promoting social change, writing punishing injustice, writing in celebration of heroism, but always that base them. Try to understand each other”.

Loneliness is a significant factor in each of the characters’ lives. Steinbeck emphasizes the fact that loneliness is always sustained through the barriers established by acting inhuman to one another. For example, the loneliness Curley’s wife feels is created by her husband’s jealousy which causes the ranch hands all to avoid her.
